The ESK Association was founded approximately October 1971, the first meeting was held at the Cressy Hotel, which was latter destroyed by fire. The first president was a local businessman, Mr Max Williams, his secretary was Mr Nigel Page of Bishopsbourne. Together they presided for quite a few years.
